Yes, it certainly happened since but I never saw an episode where he was given back the business or a part of it, he wasn't even allowed to work there, and suddenly he's back in charge.
They are normally very good with continuity but I don't remember missing an episode.
He was never sacked. Elle was given an ultimatum that she had to sack one of them as they couldn't have 3 managers so she had to fire her dad or her then boyfriend, but she resigned instead leaving 2 managers and she went to work for the paper.
That seems to make sense. The resignation was between Oliver and someone else though, Paul wasn't there when it happened, certainly not in charge. I think we've got to the bottom of it now but thought he'd lost his money as well till he just wrote another big bribery cheque as he always used to.
