robknot - switching off is not the issue. The fact is the man makes a tongue-in-cheek half-hearted apology then oversteps the mark again.
Perhaps if he continues to broadcast, there should be a warning prior to his appearance.
Any why should anyone switch off the television? That is such a fickle comment robknot.

robknot - - saturday morning radio is not the place for Jonathon Ross and his tacky, abusive and comments of bad taste. Maybe you did not read the link . . . . .

I've never found Jonathon Ross to be even vaguely funny nor talented.
Friday night I broke with tradition and watched his show, only because Tom Cruise was on and I wanted to hear him talk about Valkyrie, which I'd been to see that very afternoon.
I was hoping that Ross might have toned down his innane, peurile act and tried to be a serious interviewer for once. Parkinson he ain't (nor ever will be) but I thought he might make an effort.
What do I get? I'm no prude (I've been in the Army) but there is nothing remotely amusing about a 49 year old man acting like a 12 year old trying to make a guest squirm with his 'farting under the duvet' routine. By all accounts the actual show had to be cut to ribbons in order to be aired anyway.
After his subsequent radio gaffe not 24 hours later the Beeb now have to stand by their man through thick and thin when he ought to have been out of a job 3 months ago.
6 million a year for that? The board of governors ought to be shot at dawn for wasting our money.
Rant over!

Know what you mean in a way, but licence payer's money goes on other stupid things as well as inflated wages. On going to the London Studios once, I was given an envelope containing 15. This was to cover the cost of a cab from the station to the hotel where I was staying.... a 2-minute walk away, if that. They like to grab your money, but they also waste a hell of a lot.
LoftieLotti2 says This was reported in one paper only. Just the News of the World being it's usual self, and fabricating most of the story.
Well . . .
