Has there ever been a worse sitcom than Life of Riley? And then it's followed by the execrable Green Green Grass. Primetime BBC1. Heaven help.

There's been much, much worse. 'The Office' comes to mind.
a name like that was doomed. This was bad too:

Was the Green Green Grass on 2nite.....I luv that and missed it. Have you got the link so I can catch up?
I like the Life of Riley. Thats why people have different sense of humours. Different sitcoms suite different tastes.
Anyone remember "Come Back Mrs. Noah" ?

I loved Mrs Noah.

Anyone remember Dream Stuffing, or Dogfood Dan and The Carmarthen Cowboy?
The BBC seem to churn out these mediocre sitcoms on some kind of conveyer belt. They're always shown in a similar timeslot and always have one famous face in it.

All of them you could watch without cracking a smile, I've learned to ignore them!
Never seen the Life of Riley. But never seen much worse than Green Green Grass!

Loved the office though!

Yes, we all have different sense of humours. Good job really.
I tried to watch a bit of it last night,my opinion dire, acting was wooden, why do they always have these type of shows with middle class southeren actors, let me guess the old bug bear regional accents!!!
Puddicat

Have you forgotten Bread, The Liver Birds, Rab C Nesbitt, Still Game, Steptoe and Son, Rigsby, Men Behaving Badly, Andy Capp, Benidorm, Black Books, Eyes Down, Porridge, The Grimleys, In Sickness and in Health, Not On Your Nellie...

None of those are middle class and many aren't set down south. I am a huge sit com fan - some are better than others, some are quite dire, but I love em
No i havent ethel, but that is quite sometime ago, at least we had the great still game to watch!!!
As much as I like Jasper Carrot, All About Me was a comedic crime.

Love Still Game - how the whole lot on DVD
Snap Ethel!
The best comedy of recent years is neither southern nor middle class, Puddicat. It has to be the wonderful Still Game.
Give Plus One a bash on C4 - tonight is the 4th episode, but can be downloaded from C4 OD.

I have found it to be incredibly incredibly funny - and have now got a new found respect for Duncan form Blue as he sends himself up excellently.

Don't watch it if a few F words upset your sensibilities.
No one has mentioned 'Early Doors' why they never made more of this super comedy, I just do not know.
Whoops, forgot to answer the question.

Yes there most certainly has, and still is a worse sitcom than Life of Riley.

Last Of The Summer Wine.

I had more fun at my fathers funeral than I have on the unfortunate occassions when I have caught a few minutes of it.

It obviously, bizarrely, appeals to some people, otherwise they wouldn't've carried on making it series after mindnumbingly unfunny turgid series.
