The 'new' series of The Simpsons on CH4. Is it just me or do these look like old ones? I thought this was meant to be a new series (to terrestrial TV) that had only recently been on Sky. The ones shown last Friday looked new ie. fresh animation, and unseen by myself (seen most), but the ones this week have been crap. The animation looks old, storylines weak and familiar (?) and no outside characters such as Moe or Barney. Do I remember there being a dispute with the animators last year over money, which could have resulted in the hiring of new ones? I've been waiting for this new series, as has my young lad since it ended on BBC2 last year, but they just don't seem up to scratch...

Ok, you probably havent noticed the difference in the ads. The Simpsons advertised 6pm weekdays is 'classic' Simpsons, but the Friday 9pm Simpsons is advertised as 'new' Simpsons. As such the weekday episodes are old ones form years back. The one's on Friday nights are from series 12 (four series behind Sky).

So to recap- the new series is only on Friday nights.

Now that makes sense! Thought I was going mad. Nice one Loosh.
The Simpsons on C4 at 6pm are old classics and the new ones are on Fridays at 9pm I believe...!
You would think though all the years its been going we could have new ones every day.
If you want new episodes they are on sky one at 6:30
