Help name this show??

I have been trying to remember the name of this show for about 4 years and its driving me crazy. I know the Main character's name was hope, and in the intro she opens this book in her attic. she goes to this world where there are other caracters, one is a cat, another a buzzard.. they are in costume of course, ther is also a babbaling brook, and a witch who is trying to take Hope's purity..... the witch has a little sidekick who kind of reminds me of Beastly from the carebears, but this is not a cartoon... If you can help please submit an answer.. thanks
