anyone out there remember this series in the 1970's? did it have an episode with a bricked up pot in a wall that contained a mummy-like body ,and another episode had something causing havoc in a supermarket? it used to scare the life out of me when i was little and wonder if there is any way of getting a copy of the series?

Yeah, I remember it, but only vaguely. No idea if it's available on video/DVD or not. I remember a scene in one episode where someone was staring at a painting of a seascape and it started to 'come alive', the sea churning, etc. I found it pretty alarming (very few special effects in those days), til someone in the room chimed in, "Don't get to close to that, son, you'll get splashed!", which kind of spoiled the moment.  A good series. Could do with more like it.
I mean someone in the room where I was sitting, not the room on tv.
..I remember one episoded called the black nun that scared the bejeebees outta me!...

looks like we all had a traumatic childhood watching that!!!

Hi Kaz

Thanks for replying to my armchair question.  Yes they were indeed creepy as hell, far more so, than the stuff on offer today I think.  I only saw the episode I mentioned because for some reason or other I was allowed to stay up late, but I wish that I had gone to bed early!

Quiet as a Nun, Rachel in Danger and A Dogs Ransom where the ones I remember, if you do a search on google, there is a web page that lets you download the first sight of the Nun in the above episode, creepy as can be.......

Hi, here is the link that I was talking about, enjoy.
