I know it's only fictitious, but the script writers are just so ignorant of how schools are run, what you can and can't do, LEA'S, etc. The whole thing is getting to me now!!! I watch it and am driving Mr LL nutty complaining about all the mistakes whilst I am supposedly enjoying watching it.

I used to quite like it. It is totally ridiculous now!

Anyone agree?

Jude, it isn't actually French but similar! It´s catalan which is the nearest I can get to French, although my mother was half french and the rest of the family speak it.

No, I'm not a lovely mum, it's just when she finishes the airport run, sometimes she's left at an out of the way hotel, so I always pick her up as she is tired and wearing court shoes which are not easy to walk in over on these roads.
Jude, what is your hair like now. mine's a bit like the piccy you had on FB!

Just finished The DT GK crossword. Read Richard 111, Act V, scene 3, twice before I could find the answer, damn thing was full of ghosts popping in and out!
HI Neti.My hair is shorter than on FB. Like this http://i54.tinypic.com/25tgp55.jpg but grey going white and it doesn't look as glamourous either.
I only do the Sunday Express General Knowledge crossie. I also like the Derby Telegraph Cryptic and the SE Skeleton one where you have to fill in the black squares and clue numbers. It does my head in but can't resist having a go.
By the way you ARE a lovely Mum. A worrying lovely Mum!
My hair's a bit like that, but going very short at the back, it's so nice not having a thick wad at the back.
Well, if worrying makes a good mum, then I'm perfick!!!
I bet your hair looks nice. I think you worry about your children no matter how old they are.
Had me cuppa and am off out to clean my car. There is a car wash service in the car park of a local pub but I try and resist the temptation to go there. Catch yer later....
lol Jude, the teacher meant that french people can speak their language and are interested in their literature but are carp when it comes to grammar and spelling. Good days work today, shed looking most professional and half of the boxroom cleared ready to house books and DH's growing collection of biking boots, jackets and helmet, plus the household filing, my pilates machine and the tortoise for a month when she wakes and another month before she sleeps. DH had a great time today picking up his new bike.
its this one

Our next door neighbour (the crazy one) has started shouting out to the dogs to be quiet when they bark...she hasn't twigged yet that her doing that turns a one off woof into a full scale canine music festival.Still....the dogs enjoy it.
shower then a glass of wine I think....fresh tuna for tea. Neti do the Catalans still want home rule? I used to work with a catalan girl....wow that was more than 36 years ago...it was her one topic of conversation.
Got it the wrong way round did I Woofy? Told you I was rubbish at school. what a lovely motor bike. I used to ride behind my husband on a Feathbed Norton. Ask Mr. W if he remembers them.. Very old bike we were riding it in the 1960s I went to the Northwest 200 race in Ireland on one of these http://i51.tinypic.com/2dcblgm.jpg in 1990 a bit more comfortable.
ha, same here, woofy... French teacher used to give some detailed lecture about the use of the past anterior tense and then say 'The French don't know this, of course'.
Jude, is that a Featherbed or a Deathbed??
Well Jno we did come off it once but lucklily we just slid off in some oil and the bike went one way and we went the other. http://i56.tinypic.com/1hezi0.jpg It really was called the 'featherbed'. If my memory serves me well!
Just looked up on a classic motor bike site and there's one going for £6000.
I used to have a souped Triumph Tiger Cub, with ballended brake levers and drop down handlebars, well as drop down as you can on a tiger cub. I'll post a piccy of me on it when I get to main computer. Mum was so shocked when I used to ride it to my b/f's house in a very tight skirt ( which had to put in my pocket) and long earrings flowing about. It had a foot lever to start and the compression was so hard it nearly broke my ankle coming back! Nasty thing it was. b/f taught me how to start it on a hill and roll down but I lived on a very straight part of the town, so had to kick start the damned thing. My black helmet had silver slashes and "Aut vincere aut mori" on it. (Death or glory!) I ask you <<<tut >>>
You're braver than me Neti would never dare go in front. I was ok on a push bike though used to go to work on mine. That was a dropped handlebars.
The only thing with two wheels I can ride is a pushbike :) And I can't drive either.
It's been a glorious day here .
Been to a farmers market at Beccles this morning then back to my bros for a cuppa and he loaded me up with.plums ,rhubarb, runners, toms and grapes from his greenhouses and garden .Lovely .You can't beat a homegrown tomato.

Nothing much else doing at Shaneytowers . Nothing seagoing anyway :)) I'm still simmering .

That's good news for you Woofy that you have an op date .We are still waiting . Still no news is good news and I daresay if the scan had,had anything more untoward on it we would have heard pretty quickly .

Hope you are all fair to middling .Enjoy the rest of the weekend .....and don't forget your homework or we'll end up outside the headmistresses office :)

This should be me on bike, aged 18 yrs!
Hi Shaney, I'm pleased you've had a good day after your 2 'let down' disappointing ones. You're so right about home goron produce. It's lovely and the runner beans I had from my aged cousin were lovely and the apples he was up the ladder picking.
I've just got some cooked ones left for tomorrow. I'll have them with some Creme Fraiche. Less sugar in that.
I agree if there had been anyhing more untoward found in Mr S scan I think you would have heard by now, Keep you chin up!

Oh well off to do my homework. Nah don't think I'll bother. :~) Have cleaned my car though inside and out. Looks good.
Have a good night all Biddyfriends and a good day tomorrow.
Later 'gater(s) x
P>S> Just seen your piccy Neti. Brilliant, I can't remember sitting on a bike holding it up myself. Just a whimp. that's me!
Lovely picture Neti ....the original biker babe :)
