As well as Shepperton Studios, UK, Malta was used for a lot of the seige and battle scenes, and other bits were shot in Mexico and Morocco. Good film, I enjoyed it, but don't rely upon it to tell you the Homer story. As usual, Hollywood twists a glorious and heroic tale to make another but different glorious and heroic tale.
