can anyone tell me what kind of music the people of china listen to, will they listen to american and english as well as music from their own country? is so can you name some artists thanks

In China and indeed throughout Asia there is a stable of hugely popular (and successful) domestic artists. Many of whom have sold more records than some of the west's biggest pop stars, remain unknown outside Asia.
It's a very broad question. In short, western music is extremely prevalent in China and throughout other parts of Asia. But all cases barring a few—e.g. Lady Gaga—Chinese domestic artists still out strip western artists in shear numbers of domestic fans. Media URL: http://pitythecool.com
