Hi Everyone.  What are your favorite films and why??  Mine is True Romance, mostly because I love Christian Slater and the bit at the end where Patricia Arquette goes "you're so cool, you're so cool...

So Many eh? A few of mine are

Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Green Mile, To Kill a Mocking Bird and anything with Johnny Depp in!

Good Call Beamer ... The Big Lebowski ... classic!! Jeff Bridges finest hour imho!!

"Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not Mr. Lebowski. You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."

Tagline: They figured he was a lazy time wasting slacker. They were right. (courtesy of imdb.com!)

Oh, and Airplane anyone?

(I'll stop adding films now ... honest!)

Hey everyone, thanks so much for answering my question.  I cannot believe that I forgot to mention The Goonies.  I love it.  Even my Mum knows all of the words to it as I played it over and over growing up.  I am so glad they released the DVD!!!
Titanic because it works on different levels - as a love story, as a historical documentary, and as an admiring-lovely-Leo film.

The utterly fabulous Big Lebowski -laughed out loud at your quote SteveH75, Pulp Fiction, The Great Escape, Goodfellas, The Magnificent Seven, Withnail & I, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, the original Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy, Uncle Buck, The Game, Monsters Inc., Memento, LA Confidential, The Matrix.

Sorry Curious79 ... one last post ...

I just watched The Fifth Element (again) I've gotta stick it in. I must have watched that near a dozen times now ... and anyone else love Boys n the Hood?

And kick3m0n ... you're welcome for the quote - though it was harder trying to pick one. So many great lines!!

I may have missed this, but I don't think anyone has mentioned The Shining yet.

"Here's Tommy......!"

Also, a few of my other favourites are Training Day, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Jackie Brown, the Fox and the Hound, Bambi, A Beautiful Mind and Dorothy in the Outback.
