The last time I watched Corrie (which hadn't even acquired that nickname by then) Len Fairclough was the resident builder!

Unfortunately the actor who played Len Fairclough had to be dropped from the cast after he was found guilty of inappropriate behaviour with young girls in a swimming pool and died shortly afterwards. Much the same fate befell the actor who played Ivy Tilsley's husband.

By the way, I can remember when Florrie Linley ran the corner shop. Beat that if you can!
