My mum was watching this and said that one of the questions was; which was the only undefeated team in the 2010 football world cup, and the options were; usa, paraguay and new zealand.

And new zealand was the answer. She thought that was odd as she knew Holland and spain were in the final, so couldn't understand how the answer was NZ, can anyone shine any light on the matter?

now i dont claim to know a lot about football, but even i know that points are awarded depending on win, lose or draw.

its entirely possible that a team who drew on every match may not have got as many points as a team that won all bar one match and got throgh on points

Could it be new zealand drew all their games in the first round, but that wasn't enough to get them through, so they were knocked out, even though they didn't lose a match?

Not difficult if you kept up with the World Cup and it was only recently, especially with multiple choice. Even if you just remembered the other two teams being beaten.
