Who is the blind lady in Emmerdale?

I must've missed the episode when she first came into it. Is she somebody's relative? What brought her to the village? (Don't say the bus). :o)

She was doing community service, forgotten who from village was also on it. (thought vicars wife ). Knew Lisa Dingle and it started from there.
