With the news that Jason Mumford and Eva Longoria's husband Tony Parker joining the swelling ranks of male celebrities who are caught playing away (be it sex or just sexual texting- sexting?), im wondering why it is only the famous blokes who are doing this?

Are famous women smarter so therefore don't get caught? Or could they simply be not doing it at all?

Blokes (famous or otherwise) do it because they like the chase.

Someone like Mick Jagger, who has already enjoyed cogress with enough attractive women to populate a small eastern European country, still loves to chase after women, and is known to get bored when the conquest is achieved - the chase is everything.

With famous men who can attract most of the women they want, the same thing applies - they want what they can't have. Move that scenario into our modern obsession with instant communication, and it stransfers to texts, tweets etc, which are prone to being discovered - hence headlines for the famous, if not for the rest..

Brilliant answer Andy, as always, however, it doesn't really answer the question. Do famous women (i admit, this will be speculation on our part) do it too? If not, why not? Or are they too clever and devious so as not to get caught?

I would say a big fat yes to that. Like I said...a better judge of character so don't go for kiss and tell types. I think men are very visual so go for the girls with more looks and less brains. Women go for a more sophisticated man who wouldn't dream of reading The News of The World let alone appearing in it.

Do famous women do it too? Answer is yes, but they are governed by their minds and logic so do not get caught as much where many men are governed by testosterone and their male member and go running in like a bull in a china shop oblivious to everything around them such as losing their wife and kids and the looming divorce settlement.

Also B00 - the current mania for info about even the most minor celebrity makes this sort of stuff newsworthy. I'm not remotely interested in what other people get up to, but there is a whole industry - or so it seems - dependent on who's doing what with whom. Get your 15 minutes of fame here!!

Yes of course, the famous women also do something like this. But, I think they are more conscious than the men and that is the reason they do not get caught.
