How stupid is Corrie???

This is getting hard to watch, it's so stupid.
I know, I know, I can switch off but they often have decent story lines but this John Stape thing is so far fetched.

I think there are some very funny story lines such as Mary chasing Norris etc, and I too think Becky is brilliant, but the John Stape story is not funny or entertaining. Maybe I'm just a misery!! No comments please ..

I know what you mean sanden the ludicrous Stape story has just run and run and the Charlotte business was seriously getting on my nerves but last night's programmes were priceless.

But last night's episode was just like a very funny farce Salla. Did you see it. The story is ludicrous but last night was better than any comedy shows I have seen recently and the bloke who plays Stape was just brilliant!! His facial expressions were fantastic.

MICKROG you are wrong. The soaps offer some of the very best drama, humour, script, actors, characters, etc that we see on television today. Give me our British soaps to a trashy multi-million dollar Hollywood film any day. Admittedly I could live without the soaps, but one needs to recognise just how well produced they are.

Yes Lottie - he acts it well. But what I like about Corrie, is that they make the comedy and the tragedy, the humour and the pathos - equally believeable. There is something about the stape story that is not so believeable. I find the actor is doing a great job....

Haven't watched Corrie for years, the girl with the black hair who was in Hear Say and her idiot looking 'son' just ended it for me. Same with East Enders. In fact I don't watch any soaps at all.

It Is going on a bit long but I love it. I've got a feeling that Charlotte's parents are going to surface again. Stape's facial expressions are pure genius.

The John Stape storyline (and acting) have been brilliant in my opinion.
The way things just keep going wrong for him as he tries to juggle everything in his life without anyone finding out, no wonder he can't blooming sleep!
I mentioned this on another thread the other day but I'll say it again. If anyone still has Charlotte's funeral on tape just watch his face during the hymn. An expression of total bewilderment and resignment, it lasted less than a second but conveyed his feelings of utter acceptance that his time was surely up! Brilliant!

I'm fed up of the Stape saga...yes, it would have been a brilliant sketch in One Foot in the Grave but it seems totally misplaced in Corrie to me.

Was wondering if any other members of the Fishcake family were going to come out of the woodwork,think that would just tip John over the edge. Agree with you lottie actor has played the part well,whole storyline totally ludicrous, but quite funny at the same time, bet he does'nt get an award though, they keep most awards for EE.

I totally agree about all the awards going to Eastenders, I can't understand it. I've never watched a single episode of EE, everyone says that it's all just misery and arguments all the time, people complain about it, yet they seem to get all the awards. I'm sure it's fixed.
