I intend to go to see this film, haven't had the chance yet. George VI seemed to be such a nice person, I always liked him and felt sorry for his predicament.
Steve I am a bit of a Republican,but I did enjoy the film.
You can forget (almost) the royal bit,it's really a story of how an up tight emotionally restricted man learns to release his emotions and be himself.Helped completely by the Geoffrey Rush character.
Also it certainly shows George V and Queen Mary in a spotlight of reality,and you realise why George VI was the way he was.So in that way a family drama too.
