Have watched from start tonight, and there have been 2 items on British causes versus more than 10 items on Africa.

Yes on the same level, you only have to look around you, the homeless, the ex-soldiers that are on the streets for fighting for our country...the list is endless...and with this recession there is starvation.

How many millions do the Gov give are money to India etc, forgot the amount?

I look around me everyday and I've yet to see a child wondering about with their stomach swollen from starvation.

There are many celebs who having seen sights such as we witness on these occasions, have made long term commitments to these causes, both here and abroad.
They do not crow about it on their websites, rather just get on with it,

No one is saying that we do not some help here, but there is a charity for absolutely every cause and we can chose which to give to, it is personal choice.

Pity more can't be done to stop mosquitoes biting, this is what causes the most problems. We are so lucky here.

oh I think we do need help here, sorry mamy, crossed posts, I would say here, we need to stop giving huge amounts to the Patrons of charities and make sure all money goes where it is needed
