Chris Evans has gone again - he didn't warn me and now the Madeley is on all week so the radio is off!

Same here!
He is on Who do you think you are this week. I gather you wont be watching?
Madeley drives me insane!
i have often wondered who Madeley thought he was....apart from a toyboy.
i HATE him!
and that patrick Snag who is on for steve wright. I wonder what the spell check will call him, instead of a Snag?
He"s lost without Judy!
He is very bland - some people like that.

Look on the bright side - we could have Richard Allinson - his shows are so warm and wet you could bath a baby in them!
And here
Can't stand Madeley either. He, on the other hand thinks he is wonderful.

This morning I heard him say, "I say 'whatever' in an ironic way, like David Walliams". eeuugghhh, don't compare yourself to someone who is actually funny. Ali G was bad enough!

At least Patrick Kielty is better than the usual oaf they get to replace Steve Wright.
EvianBaby - that's not saying much is it!

It always seems an irony that the major qualification to be a radio presenter is to have a personality, and the BBC insists on employing people who don;t have one - Allinson - or people who you would move away from if you stood next to them in a pub - Kielty / Tarrant / Norton / Carr and so on.
i agree wholeheartedly with that Andy. I heard Richard Allinson interview Lee Mack a while back.
I think it's the only time a radio programme has actually made me cringe. He has absolutely no sense of humour and was more or less saying: 'if you're a comic, make me laugh now' over and over.
He was very disrespectful and downright rude. I was amazed that Lee didn't smack him.
i would have!
Yes Andy, I should have said 'marginally better'. My brother recently had an evening drinking with Kielty and Evans and assures me they are both jolly good blokes. I do wish that would come over on the radio more. I find them, along with most the names you mention below grate on me highly - though I can just about put up with Evans.

However I do take acception to you adding Alan Carr in your list. I do find the show he does with Mel on a Saturday quite funny.
Yes, I know, people have taken me to task over my dislike of the endless hysterical and overwrought personality - but honestly, nothing is that funny, unless you are on some drug or other!

well, glad I'm not the only one who can't stand the Madeley. Just don't get me started on the Allinson or the Feltz or even a woman called Lynn Parsons who has on occasion stood in for Zoe Ball (just about tolerable) on saturday mornings!
Lynn Parsons is the female equivalent of Allinson.

If the BBC want a holding pattern in a regular show - someone who will not cause any controversry or change anything - they bring these two in, because they are just about one step away from having no presenter at all, and simply playing music - which come to think of it ....
Zoe Ball is no better.

All she ever talks about is her husband and the fact she lives in Brighton. And everything is 'fantastic'. ggrrr.
and erm every other erm word is erm....
