Also Rex (or Toby) 's infatuation is getting a little tedious

I'm beginning not lose patience with it, yet at the same time, I feel a compulsion to listen. If 'they' are going to prolong the agony until the trial in September how are they going to do it?

Develop other story lines to hold our interest plus the drip drip of R&H and Tat & Pony I suppose. I thought I was an impatient person but you guys beat me to it every time.

Feedback Radio 4 this afternoon reported that the current editor had said the Rob/Helen storyline will continue for another year! Can't stand the strain now, so how can I wait for twelve months to see him get his just desserts?

I wondered what these actors did when the Beeb says they are not needed.
I assumed they would tread the boards in provincial theatres, or give talks to the wealthy on cruise ships.

Hopkirk, you got there first, I want to shake her. We all know what's gone before with H and R, but she doesn't and she seems to have a huge sense of unfairness. Her predicament is partly her fault for saying too much to the police, doesn't she watch cop shows on TV?

Out of all the characters that have acted "out" of character in the Helen-Rob saga, Pat is the most annoying.

She was burning her bra long before most of the others were born, and yet she let this slime ball walk all over her and her daughter. Another one is Peggy, who I always thought was nobodies fools, but not any longer.

Rob was clever, but not that bloody clever.

For evil to prevail, all it takes is for good men ( and women ) to do nothing.

Hit dawned on me tonight, and I apologise for saying it, that I find the routine life of folk in The Archers boring now! Is this what has happened with the Tv soaps? They used to be gentle (remember Minnie Caldwell?), and now they are one calamity after another. I haven't watched any soaps for many years because they are too over-the-top. I wonder if we will all settle down to an everyday story of country folk when the Rob business ends? Or will we demand more awful storylines?

Hellywelly....I have been an Archers listener for over 35 years now, long before Rob was even thought of.

I can recall other hard storylines, such as when Brian tried to seduce Betty Tucker and when he had the illegitimate child with green-eyed Irish temptress. He and Caroline had a long term relationship, that his missus never knew about.

I can also recall when Roy Tucker was making racist attacks on Usha, and when most of the Archer girls had unhealthy relationships with unsavoury men. And of course there was dear old Nigel, who I still miss, years after he slipped off that roof

The list is endless ! So this current story-line is just the latest in a long series and it will still be going on long after my demise, so stay with it !
