There !...Helen has come with it at last ! I always knew she was raped !
Surely his brief will say she's making it up, otherwise she would have said it before, will make tonight's broadcast very taut.
Question Author
That is exactly what he did say tonight Zebo !

But Jess is waiting in the wings, ready to say that she was raped as well.

I am feeling confident this evening !
The bit about Otto (the bull that trampled OldTony in 2014) will be part of the family court case, not Helen's trial. Rob will use that as evidence that Henry would not be safe living at Bodge Farm.

Thanks Lenny !

I have noticed that the Judge did not dismiss the Jury, after Helen came out with rape accusation on Tuesday night. If another witness comes forward,
ie Jess, with the same story, then Helen's case couldn't look better than it does now.

Lets hope she and he brief can keep the momentum up for the rest of the trial.
They still need Charlie's evidence about how Rob fiddled the books and jumped before he was pushed, he didn't sacrifice his career for the shop. All bad character stuff. The Greeks and Germans here find it amusing that we sit out at half ten and listen, cursing every now and then!
Question Author
Zebo....Charlies evidence is irrelevant to Helen's case. Anna is clearly making a case for self defence, of Helen and Henwee, and its going rather well.
It's fiction........how sure is the evidence as doubt is not handled well by the BBC.
we also need someone to suggest he blocked the culvert and of course Shula to tell about the hunt fight. All needed to prove he's an all round bad egg
Question Author
Fiction ?

It might be fiction to you DTC, but its deadly serious to the rest of us !
So where is Ambridge......get a grip

I listen to most of the summary Sunday sessions - it's a delightful look at what folk consider to be current rural (Britain) England and nothing more....

How far did Nigel plummet to his death off the church roof? Higher than Truro Cathedral, mikey....even allowing for some literary interpretation, a little OTT, as this court case will be. Just accept it though - and move on.
Too right Mikey. I have to keep reassuring myself that it's not real, it is such compulsive listening. (And I'm one of those who criticise people who believe that the tv soaps are true!).
Lenny - could you clarify what you said about a family court case, please.
Nigel fell off his own roof at Locksley Hall! Egged on by David. Keep up!
Question Author
Prudie...there is no evidence that he blocked the culvert, unless Anna can persuade the Polish worker to materialise. An accusation without proof would just play into the prosecutors hand. But even if she could produce the chap, it would be his word against Rob. And it wouldn't really help prove that Helen acted in self-defence.

Shula's evidence would probably be ruled out by the Judge, as Anna has already made clear.

No.........the only way for Helen to be found not guilty here is for her to destroy Rob's credibility and his story. If Jess appears tomorrow and says that she was raped as well, then it will look good for Helen.

Helen must win over the Jury and a self-defence stand would seem to be the best way forward.

What I am hoping for is that Rob loses his temper under cross-examination.
We all know that he has a very short fuse and Anna should be able to get him to lose it.

Rob is very clever but, like all clever people, he is also very arrogant.
He thinks he is invincible but if he is given enough rope, he will surely hang himself with it.

People have been saying that The Archers isn't real for years.

But only a few weeks ago, I distinctly heard a loud mooing noise. Now ...how on earth would you be able to get a huge great cow into a radio studio ?
There is an article in the Express asking whether Jess will be giving evidence for the Defence or Prosecution!! How about that then? Has Rob got to Jess? I hope not.
I think if it was for the prosecution Jess would have contacted them, rather than Anna. Fingers crossed.
Quite helly. That seems the sensible thing to do.

This isn't going to be plain sailing for Helen, they will tease us till the end I expect.
It's a pity Barmaid isn't an Archers fan, she could give a legal opinion.
