We've dipped our toe in the rescue pool again and fished out the lovely Rodney 'Rodders'

He's 10 months old and was found tied to a lamp post. He's utterly adorable and incredibly friendly.

Hopefully, this will work.

Very cute!

How could you leave such a face tied to a lamp post :(
Question Author
I know :(

At least he ended up with us though. I'm still a little bit wary after the last time we adopted, that wasn't very successful :(
I wish and your new family member well. He looks a nice size to cuddle. He's really just a baby - has he lost his boy bits?
He's great! Very silly name though ;-)
Question Author
Thanks Wolfy. Boy bits still intact. The charity insist that they're removed but I'm leaving him for a while. Imagine moving to a new family, then they immediately whip your crown jewels off - not very welcoming.
Lovely looking dog, big for 10 months isn't he?
What happened last time Rocky? I've never had dogs, not use o their personalities.

This one looks smiley though but also looks like he could be saying.. "We're having fun now but please don't leave me alone like I have been before".
Question Author
'Very silly name though'
I don't think he cares, to be fair. :)
"not very welcoming."

True, but it is assertive.
Question Author
He's a whopper Cashier, with bit of room left to go.

Spath, the last time we adopted, the poor thing went for me, scared the life out of me if I'm honest. I think he was a bit mental. :(
Staffie ?
That's awful Rocky, as someone who isn't familiar with dogs that much, if one went for me i'd be frightened. It would activate the flight in me certainly not the fight which would be more beneficial
"I don't think he cares, to be fair. :)"

Of course not, but calling "Rodders" in the park wouldn't make my day ;-)
Part mastiff?
Tbh I would get those bits removed sooner rather than later Rocky
He is beautiful though
Is it bedtime? I've just realised why it doesn't feel "right in my head"... I know a "Rodders", he's a very good friend - am picturing him chasing a stick :-))
Question Author
Lol LIK. The last dog we had was called Ricky, not a fab name to be screaming across the park, especially with my accent.

Yep, he's part Mastiff and as soppy as a sack.
