Has anyone got a digital Radio? I'm thinking of getting one just for listening in the kitchen.

Is it worth paying all that extra money?

Check on the stations you can receive in your area, using the postcode checker here:

If there's nothing listed, that you'd like to receive, which you can't already get on FM, there's probably not much point in buying a DAB set at the moment.

However if, like me, you love classic comedy programmes, then you'd be mad not to buy a DAB set (just to get BBC Radio 7). Similarly, if you're a sports fan, a DAB set will enable you to get 5 Live Sports Extra. Or, if you're into really great music, 6 Music is well worth having. (The BBC were planning on closing the station but that decision has now been over-ruled).

PS: DAB radios don't necessarily cost a great deal of money. Mine cost me £20 in Asda.
I bought one from Tesco for £24 last year really for listening to Gold in the kitchen but couldn't get it so I returned the radio and got my money back. Now I listen to Gold through the TV.
It may say which channels you should receive but you don't necessarily get them.
i would go for it . the sound quality is much better than FM , theres more stations available and they arent that expensive anymore .
I don't have a radio but I listen to digital channels using Freeview on the TV. You don't get as many channels this way but it is enough for me.
Quality depends on how good your FM reception is at the moment. For most things, speech, pop music etc. you won't notice any difference. You may get some improvement if FM reception is poor in your area.
