Good morning. Suffering from a really bad bout of IBS, lack of sleep (noisy cat and noisy husband, plus being too hot last night) and about to try and get a couple of hours now. IBS my fault, wasn't being very careful about eating raspberries and blueberries!!

Grey today after a reasonably nice day yesterday :o(.

Apart from that, I'm fine.

Appointments for me before noon are a total waste of time, I am not human before lunch time (unless, of course, I am meeting friends for coffee).

Morning all..mild and sunny but headachey weather.

I'm the same woofy, if I have a busy day I have a lazy one to balance it out...pace yourself they said, so that's my way of doing it.
I always made early appointments, get up, get ready, goooo. Now I prefer mid to late morning so I've time to gather myself but not too long to worry. I'm turning into my mum, when we were little we didn't think anything in the world happened until the afternoons :o)
I really need to see my doc, I must make the move....tomorrow...or maybe....

I did ok until lunchtime yesterday and then a friend I'd not seen for a long time came to see me so it was a drink tea and talk afternoon..
oh dear, Lottie, IBS seems to have turned you grey. I went blue last night but I seem to be angelic again now.

I have just got an email headed Naked Men. It seems to be genuine, just not in the UK (and not yet)

Oh dear jno, I have just noticed. It's a very grey day here and I am practicing camouflage!!

Don't think I'll bother with that exhibition of naked men though!!
Question Author
oh dear, you're foggylottie I see...I daresay you'll change back on the hour, everyone seems to get a turn at it.

Well this Dr business gets dafter...now you can book to get a call from the nurse who'll book you an appointment with the doc. I'll soon have to book with myself to book a call with bt to book....ad infinitum....I'd try Jude's way but I don't want to walk there only to be sent home for an hour and have to go back...
I have just tried to go back to my normal avatar and am waiting for the stroke of 12.00 to see if I turn back into my normal self!! ;o)

Sounds like a hell of a palava Robi. We used to be able to pop in and see a nurse without an appointment, but now have to make an appointment to see any of the nurses, unless we are bleeding to death or another such emergency.
Question Author
Yes we used to see a nurse the same day but now their waiting time is longer than a doctor. My doc's only there this afternoon and tomorrow morning so I'm going to have to brave one of those sessions or wait until next week...

have you changed????
Yep, dead on the dot of 12.00. Has anyone seen a glass slipper?
Question Author
haha, yes, welcome back grumpy old woman :o)
Question Author
plenty of tatty ole tartan ones about... :o)
Morning blearies
It's only just morning as I'm typing but will be afternoon by the time I submit .
We've got a new system at the the doctors too. It's only for a trial period though. My brother told me about it as I haven't been to the quack lately .
You have to phone and then tell the receptionist ( yes the receptionist) your problem and she decides if the doctor will phone you or if you need an apointment .
I won't tell you what my brother told her :))
Dullish day here ,quite mild .
Question Author
There are some flats in the same close as my surgery...I think I'll have one so I can peer with my binoculars into the waiting room and when it's empty I'll zoom in :o)
Yes we usually have tell the receptionist first so I just tell them ' a vague something'...then I tell the nurse 'something a little less vague '... then I tell the doc what I really want :o)
Morning all

With our system we call a call centre and they are only on the next island (not India) and they say "Doctor or Nurse" and I say Doctor and hey presto that's it. Appointment usually time and day that we want, love it.

Still no unbunged pipe :o( unless he's been back and done while I've been out.

Looks like rain today.
We are never asked by the receptionists what we want to see a doctor or nurse for unless we ask for advice. I would really object to that. We can always get an appointment on the same day, but not necessarily with your own doctor. Especially, not mine, as he is the most popular - swoon. You can always get to speak to your own doctor by phone though. I think we are very lucky actually.
GRRRRRRR I came out of the dentist and some kind person has put a huge scuff on my front bumper of my darling new car. I have just sorted to get it fixed and its going to cost me 130 quid :-(
Question Author
oh nooo woofy! That was an expensive trip!
dearer than the dentist and that cost me 60 quid......
Oh dear!! :o(
Aww woofy, that's a bgr, this is the reason we never buy new cars, I am gutted enough when 2nd hand ones get scratched or banged, I would be on a revenge mission if I had a new car!!!!!
Question Author
well the good news is the nurse rang me and didn't need to know a lot...the bad news is I've got 2 hours to kill before my appointment.... <sigh>...at least it's not quite so dark in the afternoons now. Can't start doing anything remotely energetis 'cos I don't want to push my bp up...mind you, the waiting will do that.
