Have decided to do some experimental cookery. I have a recipe for cranberry liqueur and another for crab apple jelly...crabs from my garden. Dogs are alternately excited by the wind and want to run round the garden or decide that it's all a bit much and need cuddles.
Lol Jno I was 92 anyway wasn't I :o)
Very blustery and wet today..hope you are all ok. Cards down today then getting ready for my decorator coming to paint in a few weeks.

Have to go and sort my washing out now. I put it in my back bedroom over 2 racks then close the door and leave it until it's dry.

Have a good day all of you.
See yer later 'gater(s)
Morning or, or later. Hija back, how much washing can one person pack into a carry on case is beyond me, 4 prs of jeans so far, shoes sweaters so much, wish I could do it.

3 Kings tonight, hope Mr N remembers to get the Roscon (King and Bean cake) although with my luck I'll bite the king and snap off a tooth. Lovely to hear the local families nearby having such fun, it's like xmas all over again.

Lovely weather. Had to rush down to computer shop again as we couldn't re connect hija's new laptop to router, think it's done now.
Hi all
Hope everyone's Ok in this lot .Dreadful nght here .At times I thought the roof was going to blow off and it's still blasting away .Did not sleep well at all everything creaking and that awful whoosing noise . We've got huge trees opposite and I spent a lot of time peeping out of the window .
Mr S would sleep through world war three !
I'm still in my dressing gown I'm so tired ,lazy moo, must make a move ..
Mr N would sleep through anything too shaney. The flats right at the back of our house have a 30 metre (I kid you not) tv aerial, with guy ropes and one of those is swinging loose. I am really frightened when the wind blows hard, it would kill us outright if it fell on our house.
I'm still in my dressing gown!!
I am dressed (just) have been pottering aimlessly and watching tv. was going to start cooking but shughy wants a cuddle
I want a cuddle too.
............ and me too please.

(Still in dressing gown - it's just so comfortable)

I think I might just curl up with a book, after I have had some cheese on toast!!
I'm taking the decorations down .Fed up now only tree left to do so havng a coffee and going to print off my crossie if I can find the link .
We're having a winter warmer dinner .Liver and bacon ,mash and ( whispers) purple sprouting BROCCOLI ..lol ....with loadsa gravy .
All decs down, a while ago now. Just taken down all the xmas cards, listed them for next year. Just the belen for the kings tonight and then all gone.
Robi has gone blobby!
I have just finished steaming my floors so you can see the wood and tile again. I boiled the crabapples dry and burned the pan so no crab jelly, going to play with the cranberries now
Just eaten the King cake, and guess who got the bean (again) and guess who got the King (her!) so nothing changes, I am her slave for another year!! Mind you it was delicious, filled with cream ( not real which I hate).
well but you didn't break a tooth :-)
Robi is still blobby... though for some reason if you look at her profile page not only is the correct avatar there, it is on her most recent Q as well but not the rest. Perhaps Gravatar only wants to highlight her at her best.

BlobbiRobi's been slobbing about all day, might as well have stayed in my dressing gown too...'cept I just can't do it, to me it's giving in...had a headachey, bodyachey day and listened to the bloomin wind howling down the chimbley. It's driven me mad, I hope and pray it calms down soon.
I was going to take my tree down but couldn't be bothered so it'll have to be tomorrow. I think the twelfth night thing comes from when people brought freshly cut greenery into the house and it had to be offered back to the gods by twelfth night...sommat like that. Seeing as my tree's not real I don't think any garden gods will be very much interested but the foxes might enjoy playing with it.

Hope it's a peaceful one for you all.

I think the cleaning fairy's been blown off course so I've reinstated my knitted blobbi...
Love the avatar Robi. I remember when I was teaching the little ones, when it was windy they were everso unsettled, really restless.

Spent all day being a bean and washing and ironing all hija's clothes, can't stand anything dirty hanging about.

Mr N came home early and asked if we all wanted to go see the Kings arrival, which is so unusual for him, but we decided just to eat the cake instead.

He's being very nice to me at the moment so he's either up to no good, or thinks I am!!
Well, I did get dressed eventually - this evening before Mr LL got home!!
I love my dressing gown..................... (It is a nice one, not a sack of potatoes one). To be the best thing in the world is not having to wear a bra - I feel far more comfortable without one!!

I have watched a film 'Under a Tuscan Sun' and it was lovely and sloshy - its just ended and now I am going to clear the kitchen up and have a cuppa!!

Won't be a dressing gown day tomorrow - I am going out in the morning.
