He could have done any amount of dishes on the hob and just didn't bother. The Chinese guy looked a bit out of his depth too, but I really think that the two guys with the white coq au vin should have gone up tonight instead of the couple who are missing their son. To me, they showed real commitment staying on last night and had quite a successful night, the other 2 guys are doing my head in with their total lack of communication! Roll on 8 o'clock!!
i was shouting at the telly again last night, lilacben! That james (is it?) has a terrible attitude towards his friend, raymond blanc, and any rules he meant to follow! I can't believe they got away with it again!
I thought helen and steven did really well - considering their fussy host -( not too fussy about how she looked though!!)
I think it's brilliant telly!

Coming in a bit late on this thread, im loving the resturant, and yes i want to shake james and his friend, why oh why did they leave it so late getting the chairs etc to the house they were cooking at, i think james cooking stopped them being closed. Did you notice that the two other cooks helped the welsh wok and nels in the challenge leaving the two front of house ladies to help the gallery, in my eyes raymond did that on purpose as he does think james is a strong enough chef, im glad the welsh wok went as she never smiled, i dont think i saw her really smile at the customer once and that is not good crack in the resturant trade.
