I love it too alba as you know. My son was with me at lunchtime a couple of weeks ago. He watched it with me, (no choice), and when it came to the end and it was a two parter, he said "ah, is that it"? He had to watch the next one.

I agree with you about making the programme longer. Say, 45 minutes? I find myself glancing at the clock around about 2 o'clock and thinking, they've got a lot to squeeze in before 12 minutes past.
