Why are gays always portrayed as very possessive. It's the same in Emmerdale. It seems quite exaggerated. Are hetrosexuals as possessive?

I didn't mean to be offensive. I'm not always good at wording things and once you've hit that submit button, it's too late.
the portrayal of gays appears to make them possessive imo , those that I know in real life, in a relationship, behave ( if that is the correct word)the same as hetrosexuals, I think the writers do it for effect.
No, we're not - I'm not at all possessive with the missus when it comes to the ironing, cooking, painting the kitchen, making the bed etc etc.

Mind you, I do draw the line at the remote control!
Have you seen Kirstie in Corrie?!

Agree with Neti.

In my experience, which is limited, heterosexuals are far more possessive.
Sorry about typos!
