Is it just me or do others find this boring ? I have watched each episode so far but feel I could be doing better things.

Got tuesday's on tape, will watch it later. I'm quite enjoying the series so far but I have to say I am easily pleased when it comes to TV, especially period dramas.

no i love it - I missed the start of the series so downloaded it and am now hooked

I'm usually easily pleased with these dramas too but I didn't get past the first episode & I nodded off for some of that.

Chrissa, he's a merchant, therefore "not one of us", born in the working class, therefore really really NOOU, a chancer, there is a rumour that his first wife was murdered and he's had an affair with at least one of the shop girls......

woofgang I keep watching hoping it will get better. In those times she would never have been allowed to marry "trade" and trade would not have moved in their circles - one exception if the upper class family were destitute [ by their standard] then in desperation for funds it could happen.
