WIth John Barnes was really boring last night.

I know, I actually fell asleep, which is a first watching this as it's one of my favourite programmes.

I stopped watching them this series after the first couple of episodes, there's only so many stories of grandads in the war that I can stomach. Saying that OH started watching JB's one last night, after 20 mins I noticed he'd gone back to his crossword.

I agree Dave, I think that was the worst programme of any of the series of Who Do You Think You Are? I was most disappointed.

it dwelt so much on the same 2 people and repeated the same sort of information but in various order chronologically. it wasn't using genealogical sources at all, just newspaper archives really.

I didn't find this series of WDYTYA nearly as interesting as previous series have been - but the exception for me was Celia Imrie. I thought how nice it was to have one person with a sense of humour on the programme. I also fell asleep in John Barnes' programme!
