I stopped watching them this series after the first couple of episodes, there's only so many stories of grandads in the war that I can stomach. Saying that OH started watching JB's one last night, after 20 mins I noticed he'd gone back to his crossword.
it dwelt so much on the same 2 people and repeated the same sort of information but in various order chronologically. it wasn't using genealogical sources at all, just newspaper archives really.
I didn't find this series of WDYTYA nearly as interesting as previous series have been - but the exception for me was Celia Imrie. I thought how nice it was to have one person with a sense of humour on the programme. I also fell asleep in John Barnes' programme!
Yes, I've been out trying to but a set of kitchen knives. I couldn't find any anywhere. Another wild goose chase- I could have stayed on here for that.
