Lewis Vs Gail In Corrie

Have only just taken to watching the soaps again (due to spending a hour or so each evening with my elderly mum). Just wanted to know what the deal is with Lewis and Gail. Why is he out to 'get her'. Is he a conman after her money (if she has any) or is it out of spite and, if so, why?

He blames her for ruining his relationship with Audrey, he is doing it for revenge.

gail ruined the relationship between audrey (gails mum) and lewis so lewis is seeking revenge on gail....

He was in love withAudrey (Gail's mum) and she basically mistrusted him and broke them up, so he is out to get her and yes he was a con man but changed for the love of Audrey. Probably after getting her house and breaking her.

What I dont get is why doesnt he just get back with Audrey?? and still get back at Gail in some way.

I wondered that too Smowball, maybe it's his male pride, but he couldn't forgive Audrey either for knowing about it.

Its getting a bit silly now. He is going to lose a potential future with Audrey just because of pride??
But it looks as thought he is hoping for Gail to lose all her family - she will lose Nick re Leanne. Then when Audrey find out about her and Gail she will lose Audrey too.

I don't think he has any future with Audrey so he thinks he has nothing to lose but will gain some satisfaction by ruining Gail's life.

I'm guessing Nigel Havers wants to leave so they're giving him a good/bad (which ever way you look at it) storyline as a send off.

I think Gail is only 3 yrs younger than Audrey in real life, looks a lot younger although I think Gail is getting uglier by the minute. I cringe when she is all lovey dovey with Lewis.

ric...you mean Nigel Havers is in a panto..but he has been in Corrie all over Xmas also can`t really see him doing that sort of thing,...I think he is rather sexy!!!
