I watch it regularly and do like Anita Manning and Charles Hanson, they're both so animated when they take the auction, but couldn't really say who my favourite is. I like most of them. Either of the above's auction rooms would be ok with me.
Oops sorry, didn't answer the question. I'd prefer to go round on my own. I think the experts let the contestants buy rubbish most of the time! If I had to choose one, it would be James Lewis - he's just so nice! Auction House? Either Anita's or the one in Nantwich (my old home town; then I could wander around and see the place has changed).
Dunno about a favourite, but Kate Bliss is a disaster. I can't think why she's been kept on in the show for so long. As to sale-rooms, the folk in Glasgow seem most willing to part with their money. Quite a few of the English sale-rooms are invariably full of meany tightwads. When Tim announces the auction is to be held in one of those, I feel really sorry for the contestants.
I watch it regularly, and Anita and Charles are the two I just can't stand... knowledgeable but I just don't like them. I like Antiques Road Trip though, which has largely the same experts. TBH - Tim Wonnacott gets up my nose too, I wish he wouldn't keep playing to camera.
I think the BBC fell out with the Auction House in Anglesey, because they dothe hunting at the Mona Antiques Fair and then sell them in Cheshire! As in today's episode.
