or to be more precise - they are getting longer

i have just timed one commercial break at six minutes

additionally, a greater percentage of them are now devoted to previews of forthcoming programmes rather than the selling of goods and services

Don't watch TV excel, but that is also the reason I've stopped listening to TALKsport radio. You now get four 7 minute spells of talking sport inbetween adverts, news, sports updates, weather, travel and self promoting features - total waste of time now

I watch tv on catch up, therefore skipping the ads.

I can't remember what programme we were watching but three of the adverts were for Tampax; Tena Lady and Durex - talk about below the belt - I dread to think what my father would have made of them - He would have switched over or sent us all to bed

Every second advert is about money or suing to get money .and every programme has the break at the same time so you can not avoid them the Beeb are no better promoting their second rate shows at every chance they get

On top of that, many programmes start off with a couples of minutes of "and coming up in this episode ".

That's why anything showing on a channel with adverts is recorded in this house. The fast forward button is wonderful when we want to watch.

I don't watch the ads, I make tea, put rubbish out, do a few more crossy clues, knit a jumper, cut the hedges.

Don't try and watch catchup programmes on ALL4 - the adverts seem caught in a loop before the programme starts, I had 12 minutes yesterday!
