Anyone else agree that last nights Eastenders was far too violent to be shown so early in the evening? I was at my sons house and my 3 grand-kids were actually scared of what happened.

There is supposed to be a watershed. That is terrible if it frightened your grandchildren. You could complain about it to ofcom.
I haven't seen it yet.

No more violent than the video games they play.
Like all the soaps they seem to be exempt from the watershed. I can't believe people watch this garbage, it is a sad indictment of our society that there are enough viewers of this sort of thing to make it viable. I can't even bear to watch the trailers let alone the actual program. yet they show this on a happy day of the year, when did it become necessary to show such horrific rubbish on prime time?
I have not seen Eastenders for some time, but when I did, I thought it was the most depressing, bad tempered, ill-mannered, programme on TV.
Yet, it gets good ratings! Why?
It's the only soap I watch.
Me too.
I have not watched an episode of any soap since the eighties Pete, I have never been able to comprehend the attraction. I suppose it's because most people are sheep and they always leave them hanging at the end of each episode.
Not really, TTT, I cope when I miss it!
It's just a bit of escapism.
Corrie was perfect on Christmas day.
I watched EE from day 1. My mother didn't watch soaps so I never got into the other ones.
I was 12...

If that episode had been a film it would have had an X rating. I never normally watch it, in fact I rarely watch TV at all, but I could not avoid that one as we were all having a 'Family Christmas' with the TV on.
I'm watching it now.
Phil and Vincent are caricature villains aren't they. Phil goes red in the face and whispers and Vincent has perfected the goggle-eyed stare, hilarious! Poor old Fatboy, what a way to be written out for his misdeeds in 'real life'
What misdeeds ?
yes, ummmm I have noted that you are generally ovine in nature.
Allegedly performing a sex act on a webcam while smoking cannabis. Silly boy!
Has Sharons son been killed off?
TTT...I watch one soap. That doesn't make me a sheep!

Margo - that's a shame, I like the character.
