I agree. What determination to stay on that yacht for 2 weeks to get to Tristan da Cunha - but surely the production team would have found out before they set off that the supply boat in Cape Town was in dry dock! I wonder how they found a camera crew to undergo those long journeys; oh, and when he went to Pitcairn he seemed to stay for a number of days, but the boat only goes four times a year, and would surely have left, leaving him there, wouldn't it? Anyway, full marks for effort

brainiac, I didn't look for flaws. I enjoyed it.
I visited Tristan in 1961 on the way home from the Antarctic. Fascinating place. Just after we left the volcano erupted and the entire population was evacuated to the UK. I have always wanted to go back there - but that wont happened now unfortunately

gangesboy, that must have been really interesting. I'm envious!
Yes it was Naomi and I would love to go back. At one time I was thinking of trying to move there but unfortunately no newcomers are allowed to settle there. Since there are less than 300 people living there I would have thought that any new blood would have been welcomed from a genetic point of view!

Thank you, gangesboy.
I particularly enjoyed the one about Pitcairn and surrounding islands. Not only the unique wildlife but wondered if that really was a place on earth completely removed from daily horrors you could escape to (to live I mean. not holiday).
I have a fascination with islands and spend hours looking at really unheard of ones on satellite view. There are 1000s most of us don't know exist.

Prudie, I've only seen the one from Tuesday, and I missed the beginning of that - but I intend to catch up on them all.
You won't be disappointed :-)

I'm sure you're right, Prudie. Love programmes like this.
