Apologies for another Big Brother question, but I think the whole affair has thrown up some important issues. I just wondered what people think about the reaction there has been to Jade's actions in CBB. Rather than condemning her actions alone, the criticism has descended into personal attacks, on her appearance, her speech, her lack of education. This seems to me to be exactly what bullying is, and whatever you think of Jade and her housemates, surely this is not a good example to be setting to our children?
Remarks about her appearance are silly , meaningless to the argument , so there I'd agree with you , but remarks about her lack of education are relevant. They are a large part of the reason she is the way she is.
I dont agree with personal attacks on her apearance etc, but one thing is for sure, she is in for a hell of a time when she comes out and I nearly feel sorry for her (nearly!!)
Aparently Jade has already been invited to India. I`ve also heard that there will be NO audience tonight for the eviction. As for "good example" for children, the prog is on at 9pm which is after the watershed & 10pm on S4C.
I can't really understand the surprise at the antics of the BB House. Ever since it started C4 has been 'pushing back the boundaries', I think is the current phrase. They've been trying to think up new ways of encouraging and extending tensions and hostilities; this last one to reinvite that Goody and her outragious mum back is a prime example. Perhaps we should bring back public hanging - that appealed to the lowest common denominator as well.
