The original "Betty la fea" was played by Colombian actress Ana Mar�a Orozco who does not appear in the US spinoff/remake "Ugly Betty".
However, the star of the Mexican version "La fea mas bella", Ang�lica Vale, does appear in the episode as the dental assistant who looks exactly like Lety, the character she played on the aforementioned show.
