Holloway Hotel TV Tonight.
No wonder the jails are full, nobody wants to leave.
Three good meals a day, 10 hours freedom out of your cell, swimming pool, TV, education, little work to pay for ciggies, chocolate, fizzy drinks etc!!!!!
They need a few months in a Prison abroad in Thailand, Cambodia, they would never want to go back again.

I used to work in a criminal solicitors and I remember a solicitor saying to me that "clients" (scumbags in my view) don't mind if they get a prison sentence because they have a better life in there than they do at home!
I just don't understand why prisons are like this. I'm not saying it should be like it was years and years ago, but prison should never have arrived at the place it is at now.

Youre only repeating what some of the prisoners said themselves.
Saying that hearing the kind of lives some of them have had i wouldnt wanna hvae gone through that to end up in there.
If thats your idea of luxury i suggest you go out commit a crime today and are banged up.
The girl with her arms cut to shreds self harming and actually feeling safer there than the outside world eh?
What does that say about society in general?
If you think that all things considered its easy then why arent you in there?
Well

The justice system isn't fair at all the victim is always the one that suffers!!!!
I think all human rights should be removed from these people and they shoudl go back to a bare cell with a bed and a toilet or bucket, 3 meals and hard labour. All luxury items should be removed, I would even remove all visisting rights. Maybe they should look to use redundant Offshore installations to be used as prison's then they would know what doing time is all about.
There is nothing in the present justice system to make them think that they wouldn't want to commit another crime. Sentencing should also be tougher.

And one person here agrees with him. Prison is a terrible place. Use your common sense and ask yourselves if you'd really give up your liberty for gym membership. How utterly vaccuous.
Most women who go into prison non drug users, come out dependant on drugs, the level of self harming is astronomic and every other country in Europe has seen a decline in imprisoning women in the last ten years because of the associated damage it does both to them, their families and society in general, whilst the UK has seen it's prison population soar because of the Govt's willingness to appease the gallows knitting public.
Prison does not work generally for non serious offenders, it simply adds to their list if ills and makes it harder to lead a decent life, and for women it does work in particularly.

they do not know how lucky they are.
i too would bang them up in a prison abroad, they would not be so cocky then.
or i would bang them up with the older women in another part of the prison.
boot camp would be great, and televise it and see how long they will last there,it would soon wipe the smile off there faces.
but i agree with you put them in the bangkok hilton and film them squirming.
scum of the earth

I recorded this but didn't watch till last night, I agree with the general swell of opinion but more than that, How come smoking in a public place/building is prohibited in this country, tet these girls smoke in their cells, theres always the outdoor rec. area they seem to have in prisons, so if they are there to be disiplined, why can't their ciggie break be, say, after each meal and outside but still inside if you know what I mean.<3
I think these girls were classed as juveniel offenders and got more privlledges than the others we saw last week, pleased to see one of them, Eva from Estonia had worked and gained certain academic passes, spoke very good English which she learned in there, opted to be deported back home for an early release, let's hope she puts her exams and her English to good use.
