...on Jonathon Woss last night? He was dressed like a circus clown but STILL managed to look sexy! Why won't the Frenchy let him buy a vineyard?

JD is just an all-round, likeable bloke. (Straight) men like him because he's talented and 'a bit of a geyser', as a colleague puts it, and women like him because, well ... that's obvious.

He should just buy a vineyard in California or the UK - both produce far superior wine to the Frenchies.
I must say his comment on this sounded to me as not to be taken literally - I think he may have meant it would go somewhat against the grain (and that he perhaps was not interested), but I really don't know. I seem to remember reading somewhere about a non-French (Brit ?) owning and running a vineyard somewhere in France, but that could be wrong. No doubt the truth can be found but I somehow doubt France could legislate against foreign ownership of vineyards.

Maybe they won't let him buy the one he wants - like Chateau de Champagne or something
An excellent interview, with JR on fine form - asking questions, getting answers, no points scoring, it was really good.

If I could have ten per cent of the cool JD has I would be a happy man.

J Woss was actually listening to what JD & Tim Burton were saying - seemed he was genuinely interested in what they were saying
With decent guests, Wossy is a very good interviewer. Johnny and Tim Burton are both intelligent, articulate men who have learnt the art of good conversation, as has JW, and that was the result.
