I watched Dr Who last night for the first time for years and to say I was bored is an understatement.
It was disjointed , repititous effects and no relevant story line. This seems to be the rule with much TV nowadays lots of effects , massive use of colour with little substance to the story line..

Do they still have green reptile like aliens which look like men in fancy dress in every episode?
It was a Christmas special modelled on Dickens Christmas Carol. (if it's the same one we watched).
Yes it was much better with David Tennant and the previous director / producers - poor copy now unfortunately.
I am a huge Dr Who fan. However, you are right.
It was the poorest xmas special ever with the poorest Doctor ever and a pathetic storyline and script.BRING BACK SOMEONE WHO CAN ACT>>ie. David Tennant. Bring back a decent scriptwriter..This doctor is hopeless. but if they remake the Munsters put him down fdor the part of Herman...lol
David Tennant can act............but his Dr was a gurning, smile-flashing, hyperactive loon....and those were the good bits.
ok Jack...how do you describe this Doctor?...A gormless.....fumbling ham . The Doctor is only as good as the actor and this actor just doesnt have it...send him to a soap.
I find this one to be growing on me, if I'm honest. I wasn't sure at first but I'm starting to like him.

I like DT everywhere else but in the TARDIS. :o)

Yes, it was wooden acting, and they should throw Amy back in the pond!
i fell asleep
I think I love Amy. Not that she had any lines in that one though
It's got much better since the Colin Baker days. You should try one of the current series.
BBC 3 often re run the series from the very start with Chris Eccleston. Watch them if you can and then the David Tennant ones. This latest doctor/series is pants compared to those.
