Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith is a space action adventure film. This is the third in the prequel Star Wars trilogy written and directed by George Lucas. The film ties up all the loose ends and prepares for the story to continue in the original Star Wars episode IV A New Hope.

Audiences have on the whole enjoyed the final prequel film. They were pleased that the story gives a satisfactory explanation of Anakin Skywalker's slide into the dark side of the force and his new role as Darth Vader. Also what happened to the twins he had with Padme Amidala, Luke and Leia, was well done. However, many viewers found the use of special effects and CGI over took the film and hampered the plot and actors.

The story continues the Clone Wars as the Jedi are trying to suppress the separatist movement that is threatening the Galactic Republic. The Supreme Senator Palpatine reveals to Anakin Skywalker that he is really the dark force Darth Sidious and that he can help keep Padme safe. Anakin and Padme fight about his turn to the dark side and in a rage he injures her. Obi Wan and Anakin then engage in a fantastic light sabre duel and Anakin is fatally hurt by Obi Wan who leaves him for dead. Palpatine then finds Anakin and keeps him alive in the fame black suit. Obi Wan takes Padme away and she dies in child birth, the twins are separated and hidden away so Anakin cannot find them, as they are now the only hope for the galaxy.
