Parking Charge

Been out this morning and parked in Disabled bay but forgot to put my badge on display. Came back to a parking charge on the windscreen. On checking this, they have got my reg number wrong. What should I do?

I successfully appealed a parking ticket.

My granddad lived in a permit holders only area with just a few 1 and 2 hour parking places. My Nan's in a care home and I was taking her to visit him. Couldn't find a parking space so I parked in a loading bay and got a ticket.

I appealed giving my granddads address and the address of my nans home and explained that it was the only place I could park while I took her to the house and once I'd settled her in I came back to move my car. They let me off.

I wasn't lying either...

this is not like she is trying it on in order to gain something she is not already entitled to - she has the badge and if shed remembered then there would be no fine
if she appeals and they accept the no-one has lost anything - if she pays, they benefit, not through someone doing something illegal or wrong, but by a mistake.
