Petrol Flap Won't Close

The petrol flap on my mini won't stay closed unless I hold it down while locking the car. This is ok while it's parked, but no good for when I want to drive as it pops open again as soon as I unlock the car to get in.

Anyone got any ideas about what's wrong and how to fix it?

There is a small hook/loop visible on the inside of the fuel flap which is latched with a small pin/plunger activated by a seperate lock motor connected to the main central locking system via the main BC1 module. Check plunger moves in and out with central locking activated and that the latch pin is aligned correctly with fuel flap. If it does not move you may have a wiring fault or need a new fuel flap locking motor.

Thank you, Baldric.
I'm not sure what was wrong but it's fixed now.
Fire WD40 Into the locking Pin Area.
