I have a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo and my rear window washer is working but the front one is not. I have tried cleaning the spray holes with a needle but still won't work. If it was the pump, should none of them be working?
The washer pump spins one way for the rear and the other way for the front. So the to make sure your pump isn't knackered you will have to make sure that power is getting to the pump when you operate the front windscreen washer.
Thank you for all of your suggestions. I will need to look more closely at my car to see what is going on. it did not occur to me that there might be 2 pumps. Thanks dustypuss but I am in the UK so your parts list will not help me.
Is it possible to remove the tube from the front washer nozzles?
If so, do so. Run the washer and see if liquid comes out of the tube.
If yes, the nozzles are still blocked. If not then further investigation is needed.
Thanks for pointing this our Baldric and my apologies to Dusty. Iv'e worked out that there is no noise from the pump so it must have packed in. Obviously a garage job.
Thanks for all the advice folks and I think that it is too late for a lady in her 60's to start trying my own car repairs!
Again, thank you everyone, xx
