when did these become "unfashionable? They're hardly ever to be seen these days, but I've just fitted some to my "new" car. Needed more than ever, imo, with space at such a premium in supermarket carparks et al....
i dont know about new/modern ones but some of the older ones used to trap water causing ruts and rot where they were fitted, now they pobably use better paints and protection and better quality metals.
ah, makes sense Paul,...my theory is that they can be seen as spoling the streamlined look of cars, but I'm not really bothered about that, as long as I get from A to B smoothly and safely ;)
Although not reflective you can buy plastic/nylon flexible strips from W.H. Smiths, Rymans or Staples. They are A4 length and are for keeping sheets of paper together. I used them when Halfords didn't stock them here.
Some modern cars - mine included - now come with in-built plastic protectors which "flip out" when you open the car door. But not reflective, and as Zacs says, won't stop eejits pranging your car.
