That is a news report that says they "could hit" those prices. which I am sure they could.
if they reach a sustainable ceasefire, the prices will plummet.
One report says the British Govt is going to ask Saudi Arabia to lower the prices.

Another "report" says the British people have been asking the govt to do this for years.
probably Brexit related (gully?)
Go electric
nah
You'll have to one day, Dave.
I might go for a Prius if I was changing but not a plug-in.
//You'll have to one day, Dave.//

Really confidant on that? Remember Betamax?

Electric cars are not green and many of the battery materials are really toxic and purchased from despot regimes.

It remains to be seen how things will pan out long term but its not beyond the realms of possibility something like hydrogen (or something not yet thought of) will win through.
And in answer to the OP, as Ich correctly points out 'Could'.
Dave, isn't the Prius a plug in?All the info I have seen says it is.
As an aside - Don't know if it's a typo but there's a 10 year old Prius on Autotrader with 500,000+ miles! ( and several with over 200,000).
most of the older ones are just hybrid - no plug in charging.
Electric cars eh? Just wait until the enfeebled have to come up with an idea to replace all that tax and duty take lost from road fuels.

You'll long for these days of cheap lecky.

The boot will never be off the neck in this country..

Reckon this fella would have loved to break all records.
Apparently the oil price has dropped in the last few days. People are not using their vehicles as much (like when Covid pushed the price up). This petrol rise is nothing to do with Ukraine. Pure profiteering by the Arabs.
Nothing to do with Ukraine?

I respectfully suggest you are wrong.
diesel yesterday at Tesco £1.62,
I paid £1.65 for unleaded at a Tesco garage in Hove yesterday.
It’s the oil price has dropped but overall the trend is up
What the govt would do is ask Saudi Arabia to export more oil.
Lower prices will also hit Russia
