ignition coil
is it eay to replace coil . i have tried to look on the net but all i can find are the coils that are just bolted on and look a bit like a can mine dont look like that its on a daewoo lanos any clues pleae . it looks simple but dont want to take if off and have springs and screws every where lol thanks val

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Modern coils don't look anything like the old lucas style tin can: I am not exactly sure on the lanos but on many modern cars you now find a coil pack looking usually like a little black box closely attached or, indeed, directly attached, to each individual sparkplug: it'll likely be a dealer only bit and ther'ell be one for each plug or pair of plugs, so are you sure you have coil trouble??

yes it is the coil had the breakdown out to look at it . it was missing and when he looked one lead was dead so he swapped a lead and there was still nothing . i have found the part just a bit worried about doing it myself indeed it does look like a little black box with all 4 leads attatched .
