Purchased a 1987 Polo CL saloon 1.3cc it has been parked up since 2002 and has only 50K on clock.
Starts,Runs well but will not tick over. I have been informed this is a common fault but could anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem

May be of no help 2 you but i have a 1993 model an have had no such problems
