which car should i choose!!!

im trying to decide what car to get next, my budget is MAX �8000 but id like to keep it as low as poss, im after a fast car that gives lots of feedback, a real drivers car, iv test driven a mondeo st24 but i felt too detached from it, a mk2 golf feels better, like im plugged into the car.
any advice or recomendations will be fully appreciated

yeh iv driven a focus before and thought it was good thanks for remindind me, ill have a look around see if i can find a ST for sale locally to test drive

Alfa 147 would be a good option, a bit pricey on insurance though, alternatively a Civic?

Get yourself an older Subaru impreza, they are a superb drive and a real fun car. You can pick up a 1994 imported one for about 3 grand. Newer ones will cost a bit more. The downside is they are quite expensive to maintain (if you take it to a dealer) and insure.
And they are such an iconic car and really cool, I may go and stroke mine as it sits on the drive and tell her how much I love her....

the only prob with a suburu is as you say the running costs and there a bit to in your face for my likeing, id like something more understated. also im fussy and dont want something thats completly standard, so that would leve a P1 while they are a amazing drive i cant justify the running costs

you cant beat a bm for safety comfort and a feeling of freedom. go to the nearest bm garage and ask to look at there part x list stick with three series . and if you live near berkshire i have a bm mechanic for servicing .

It's like having sex without the sticky bits, do I detect the green eyed monster and to be fair it's a shame I'm female.

thanks for the help everyone. the prob with BMW is i dont like the interior, also if i did get a BMW it would have to be a Alpina, im only after cars that have a bit more prestege than the stock model, so a focus would have to be a ST a Mondeo a ST24 or St200, a suburu would have to be a P1, a BMW Alpina

i`m a girl and i thinkg bmws tend to be knobs cars unless its my dad with his 7series!! xx

i`m also looking for a ca, only do 40 miles a week, so going for a small cheap to run one, like a citroen c1!!!!!!! very girly i know but my boyfriend has a huge 2litre car so who needs power eh?
