New ford CD Player in old Ford

i have an X reg(2001) for mondeo, it has the old style cassette in.
Can you fit the new style cd players (2004 onwards) into it?

Are you looking to buy that one (or similar) or do you already have one? �41 + �11 seems a lot for a second hand CD-Player when you can get a new (and much better one) from Halfords for another �8

that was just an illustration, it is a ford (the model in the picture) one i'm getting. i wanted to know for sure it will fit.
i would say got for a non-ford. that 6000cd isnt that great tbh, ive got it factory fitted in my car 04 and its already failing at times, CDs get stuck and volume control either jumps suddenly or you have to turn dial a long way.
